Arielle was the clear winner here, getting the only points of the week with Ryan as the loser. His loosing totally shocked me, so I don't know how she made the pick! I am too lazy right now to do a total recap of the scores, but I'll do it tomorrow.
Recap:
1. The quickfire was after my own heart, a beer-centric battle. Some of the dishes looked amazing, some I wouldn't touch. Jennifer pulled this one out to prove something after Zoi went home last week. But it my mind she was never the one who had something to prove; she's clearly the better cook of the couple.
2. I love tailgating almost as much as I love the simplicity of tailgating comfort food. Give me a good, well-cooked burger or funky take on a potato salad any day. Dale was the clear winner here with his tandori pork ribs, and I'm happy for him because he seems like a true Bears fan (even though his idols seemed to not give him a second thought...).
3. Every week I get my hopes up because Nikki proves how bad she is, but it's like Ricky from "Project Runway," and she just wont go away! Ryan surprisingly went home for having a dish that wasn't tailgating food: too hard to eat, too pompous. Marc also surprised me by being so sloppy — I mean eating off a spoon you're serving with is just wrong!
4. There was some trash talking, but I didn't see any fighting. I am going to be honest, though, and say I missed the very bigging and the very end... Let me know if I am wrong here and I'll try to catch the episode again sometime this week.
Next week: No equipment means they have to go old school on next week's Polish sausage challenge, and it seems some of them can't handle it (Andrew?).
